IJsland is echt de thuisbasis van de papegaaiduiker. De ruige en met rotsen omheinde kustlijn van IJsland herbergt 's werelds grootste papegaaiduikernest. Ongeveer 60% van de papegaaiduikers in de wereld nestelt daar. De papegaaiduiker is ook de meest voorkomende vogel in en rond het land.
Pikatso Group Belgium heeft in samenwerking met de ontwerper Sigurjón Pálsson nieuwe papegaaiduikers op de markt gebracht en komt

Material: wood Iceland can truly be called home to the Atlantic Puffin. The cliffs of Iceland’s jagged coastline provide nesting grounds to some 60% of the species’ world population. So many puffins breed there that they rate as the most common bird in Iceland. This beautiful and lovable bird, with its slightly sad expression, is quite dear to Icelanders.
